The purpose of this Personal Data Notice is to inform you about how Orange S.A., acting as data controller, its subcontractors and partners process your personal data through the Orange Phone mobile application for Android (hereinafter “the Application”).

This document is supplemented by specific information relating to the provision of the service and described in the corresponding general conditions. As such, it forms an integral part of said general conditions.

What is Orange Phone?

The Application allows you to replace your native dialer and detect, block and report unwanted calls, identify unknown numbers or even be informed of the prices of calls to premium rate numbers.

If you have subscribed to the Orange Téléphone Pro option, Orange may process your phone number for the purpose of presenting a second number (number provided by you or by an administrator) for your outgoing calls.

What personal data is processed?

Orange only processes data that is relevant and necessary for the intended purpose. The personal data collected by the Application as part of this service are:

  • Your identification data (telephone number for the Orange Téléphone Pro option only, unique identifier assigned by the application)
  • Your contact data: the application requires access to the contact list to display contact information and allow the User to modify it (add, modify, delete)
  • Your connection, service usage and interaction data (call logs, consents, technical permissions)
  • The number subject to a Qualification (“unwanted”, “telemarketing” or “approved”)
  • When a Qualification is transmitted, the country code and the operator code of the SIM card are transmitted for the successful completion of the Qualification

Data collected indirectly from third parties

Some data processed by Orange is collected indirectly:

  • Through cookies and tracers placed or read on your terminal and through SDKs (Development Kits). These are technologies that perform reading and writing operations on your terminal in order to store information relating to your equipment or your activity

Why does Orange process your personal data and on what basis?

Your data is processed by Orange for specific, explicit and legitimate purposes.

The collection of this information can be deactivated at any time from the "Privacy Policy" in the "Your data" section of the "About" menu.

How long is personal data kept?

Orange retains your personal data for the duration necessary for the operations for which it was collected and in compliance with applicable regulations. As such, your personal data collected is retained for 3 months.

Orange may be required to keep some of your personal data in archives in order to be able to meet its legal obligations and any legal action, for the limitation period provided for by applicable legislation.

Who has access to your personal data?

Due to their functions and within the limits of their respective attributions, the data collected is intended:

  • to authorized internal services within Orange: only authorized employees who need it as part of their duties may have access to your data.
  • to Orange subcontractors: in this case, Orange only communicates your data to subcontractors with whom Orange has entered into a contract by which they ensure their commitment and guarantees on their ability to meet security and confidentiality requirements, and to respect all legal and regulatory obligations regarding the protection of personal data.
  • The processed data may be transmitted to the competent authorities, at their request, in the context of legal proceedings, in the context of judicial research and requests for information from the authorities or in order to comply with other legal obligations. They may finally be transmitted to third parties authorized by a court decision.

Is personal data transferred outside the EU?

The personal data collected may be processed outside the European Union. In this case, Orange takes the necessary steps with its subcontractors and partners to ensure an adequate level of protection for your personal data, in accordance with applicable regulations.

If the subcontractors and partners concerned are not located in a country with legislation considered to offer an adequate level of protection, they will have previously signed the “standard contractual clauses” of the European Commission or are subject to binding internal rules approved by the authorities. When the legislation of the third country does not provide protection equivalent to that offered by the regulations applicable in the European Union, Orange ensures the implementation of additional measures adapted to the processing carried out.

How is your personal data secured?

Orange ensures that your data is processed securely and confidentially, including when certain operations are carried out by subcontractors. To this end, appropriate technical and organizational measures are implemented to prevent the loss, misuse, alteration, and deletion of your personal data. These measures are adapted according to the sensitivity of the data.

What are your rights and how can you exercise them?

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, limit the processing, and the right to data portability. You can also issue instructions on the retention, deletion, or communication of your data after your death.

When the processing of personal data is based on your consent, we inform you that you can withdraw this consent at any time.

You can exercise your rights in writing using the “Contact Us” menu in the Application or contact the Data Protection Officer. Any request to exercise your rights must be accompanied by supporting documents that prove your identity.

Please be advised that you have the right to submit a request to the French Data Protection Authority (CNIL), the supervisory authority responsible for ensuring compliance with personal data protection obligations in France. Work Contacts for Google Android

The purpose of this Personal Data Notice is to inform you about how Orange S.A., acting as data controller, its subcontractors and partners process your personal data through the Work Contacts mobile application for Android (hereinafter “the Application”).

This document is supplemented by specific information relating to the provision of the service and described in the corresponding general conditions. As such, it forms an integral part of said general conditions.

What is Work Contacts?

The Application allows you to access the directory of your company hosted in Azure/Office365 from Orange Phone app : display the name of a colleague on the call screen or search the information of a colleague from his/her name or phone number.

Access to the service given by Work Contacts is restricted by technical and contractual prerequisites described in the conditions of use of the Application.

What personal data is processed?

Orange only processes data that is relevant and necessary for the intended purpose. The personal data collected by the Application as part of this service are:

  • Phone numbers of incoming and outgoing calls coming from Orange Phone : these numbers are sent to the Company Directory to identify if this number is part of it or not and, if yes, retrieve the name and address of the employee
  • The information of the employees in the response of the Company Directory are collected and stored in the Application to optimize the next requests for a same number/name : these information are stored for 24h in the Application
  • Your identification data (mail address), to relaunch the connection session and display the status of this connection in the Application

Data collected indirectly from third parties

Some data processed by Orange is collected indirectly:

  • Through cookies and tracers placed or read on your terminal and through SDKs (Development Kits). These are technologies that perform reading and writing operations on your terminal in order to store information relating to your equipment or your activity
